Vicki is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice in our office. She offers pre-surgical psychological evaluations, and co-facilitates our bariatric support group with the dietitian. Vicki is also available for individual counseling to support patients in making healthy lifestyle changes and informed decisions about surgery. Using an evidenced-based, state of the art, therapeutic approach called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), she helps patients address the upsetting events in their lives that can lead to overeating, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, and more. She can help patients desensitize urges and triggers that cause them to overeat, thus helping them prepare for bariatric surgery or a non-surgical weight loss program.
