Dr. Fierer has been in private practice in North San Diego since 1996. He completed his general surgical training at U.C. San Diego and a fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery n New York before returning here to start his practice. He specializes in the treatment of reflux disease, solid organ surgery and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers as well as the repair of abdominal hernias. He performs most of his surgery using minimally invasive techniques, either laparoscopic or on the DaVinci robotic system.

Dr. Fierer volunteers with Project Access and the San Diego County Medical Society to provide surgery to those in need and has been involved in humanitarian surgical missions abroad as well.
